The Natural Resources Department is privileged to work with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other groups to provide a variety of programs that both safeguard the environment and educate Tribal members and the Island community about environmental issues that affect us all.

Lead/Radon

The Natural Resources Department of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head Aquinnah has partnered with the US E.P.A. to create a comprehensive lead education, awareness, and assessment program that benefits both Tribal members, and the Island as a whole.

OUTREACH / EDUCATION PUBLICATIONS

The Wampanoag Tribe’s efforts at environmental protection do not end at Tribal borders. The Tribe has engaged in a variety of projects that increase the awareness not only of Tribal members, but of the Island as a whole.
